Proposals are a big deal for any relationship. It doesn't even matter if the proposal itself was a grand gesture or a quiet conversation in bed late at night, but the moment you decide to tie the knot is a moment you will recall and tell for the rest of your time together. Your family would like to know how it happened, you will tell that story to your kids, and it will be a monumental memory for both of you forever.

The most important thing for any proposal is that the couple is on the same page about it. Nobody should be caught off guard, nobody should be pressured to give an answer, and absolutely nobody should be disappointed.

For some couples, it doesn't really matter how the proposal happened, only that it was genuine, real, and happy. That is quite a low bar, and yet somehow, some people still manage to miss the mark. But nobody missed the mark more than the guy in the story below.
